History: William E. Sawdey, 66 of Batavia, passed away on Tuesday October 1, 2013 at the United Memorial Medical Center. He was born November 8, 1946 in Dansville, New York to the late Thomas Sawdey and Ella Hanes. Mr. Sawdey loved to mow his lawn and spending time with his grandchildren. Survived By: He is survived by his beloved wife Alfreda M. (Bigelow) Sawdey, sons Joseph (April) Durkee, Shannon (Sarah) Sawdey, Brandon Sawdey all of Batavia; 4 grandchildren Mercedes, Jordan and Dakota Durkee; Bralynn Sawdey. Visitation: Calling hours will be held on Saturday October 5, 2013 from 10 to 11 AM at Funeral Home. Services: Funeral Services will take place Saturday following calling hours 11:00 AM at Elmwood Cemetery. Burial: Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery, Batavia. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
