Viola A. Wight

Viola A. Wight, 86, of Batavia passed away on Monday March 9, 2015 at Batavia Health Care Center. She was born October 14, 1928 in Byron to the late Raymond (Mabel Calkins) Worthington. She is preceded in death by her husband Leon E.Wight Sr. and brothers Ray, Roy, Spencer and Don Worthington. Prior to retirement Viola worked at Houghton College. She was a member of the Alexander united Methodist Church. Viola loved being a mother, grandmother. and enjoyed taking care of her family. She is survived by her loving children Karen (Paul) Keller of East Pembroke, Mona (Rodney) Kilner of Batavia, Connie (Robert) Fischetti of Grantsville, MD, Leon Wight Jr. of Batavia, Becky (Samuel) McBride of Lynchburg, VA, Jeffrey Wight of Batavia, Scott (Melinda) Wight of Colcord, OK; brother James (Charlene) Worthington of FL; sisters Winnie Cook of Warsaw, Zoey Spink of Batavia; 16 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild along with several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. A 1:00 PM Funeral Service will be held on Thursday March 19, 2015 at Alexander United Methodist Church 10540 Main Street Alexander, New York 14005.
