Vincent D. March

Vincent D. March, 89, of Batavia passed away on Sunday October 19, 2014 at the New York State Veterans Home at Batavia. He was born on January 26, 1925 in Batavia to the late Baldasaro (Marie) Marchese. Vincent is preceded in death by his wife Rachel (Tassone) March, daughter Frances Ann March, brothers Joe, Tom and Anthony "Ace" Marchese and one sister. Mr. March was a decorated Veteran that served with the United States Army during World War II. He was a respected businessman who owned and operated Sleghts Bookstore. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived his sons; James (Linda Stillwagon) and Christopher (Kelly) March both of Batavia; brother Stephen Marchese of California. Funeral Services will be held on Friday November 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Resurrection Parish, 18 Ellicott Street Batavia, NY 14020.
