Tim C. Schiavi, 69, formerly of Batavia passed away on May 5, 2026 at the Huntington Living Center in Waterloo. He was born on July 25, 1956 in Batavia to the late Peter and Susie (Towne) Schiavi.
Tim worked as an appliance repair man for Ben’s appliance, maintenance at St Jerome’s hospital, vending machine repair at Pepsi, Local 435 Laborers Union, Angelica’s delivery driver and a few other Trucking jobs.
Tim loved Christmas time and he was at his happiest and most social and always surprised his family with how much he loved it all. He was an avid hunter his whole life, everything from ducks to deer, bow hunting to long distance prairie dog shoots out west. He was a master marksman that would pop a woodchuck at 800 plus yards for the challenge. He shot competition when Andrew was a child and reveled in ballistics, as he was a self-taught gunsmith. Tim raced snowmobiles in the 70’s and around age 50 he built his own drag motorcycle and drag raced it on the weekends for fun.
He loved going to Darian Lake camping with his son and would spend all day hitting every roller coaster, trying his luck at the games, fishing the ponds and cooling off in the water park. He also loved to go camping up in the Adirondacks at 8th Lake enjoying everything the area had to offer.
He lived for Tuesday night Spaghetti dinner at grandma and grandpa‘s house with the family, and any other family gathering there. He loved a number of dogs and cats over the years, most notably his miniature pincher Chico and his most recent rescue cat Rags “cause Dad thought he looked like a pile of rags”.
He is survived by his son; Andrew (Jennifer) Schiavi; and granddaughter Jemma.
There will be no prior calling hours or Services. Tim will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
