Thomas W. Lichtenthal, 84, of Conesus, passed away peacefully on Friday October 3, 2025 at Brothers of Mercy in Clarence. He was born on October 20, 1940 in Buffalo, to the late Herbert and Cecilia (Stoeckl) Lichtenthal. In addition to his parents, Thomas is predeceased by his wife; Carolyn (Nichter) Lichtenthal.

Tom, a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Lancaster, NY, married his beloved sweetheart, Carrie, on August 5, 1961. He dedicated most of his career to National Fuel Gas.

Beyond his professional life, Tom was deeply committed to his community. He served as a volunteer firefighter for both the South Line Fire Department and the Darien Fire Department and dedicated many years as a scout leader and volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America.

Tom was a loving husband, father, and friend who cherished time with his family, grandchildren, and close friends. He found immense joy in camping, traveling the country, being at the beach or on a boat at the lake, and watching his children and grandchildren grow.

He is survived by his children; Marylou (Ron) Walf, Thomas (Jean) Lichtenthal, Donna (Brett) Wolfley, David Lichtenthal; dear friend, Judi West, grandchildren Kevin(Lauren) Walf, Douglas Walf, Laura (Andrew) Wadhams, Jennifer (Kyle) Grey, Andrew (Lauren) Lichtenthal, Christopher (Alexandra) Wolfley, Bryan (Catherine) Wolfley Adam (Nicole) Wolfley, Mayson, Emily, Sarah, Michael Lichtenthal; great-grandchildren Olive & Alexander, Emma, Blair, Molly, Gwendyln & Grady.

There will be no prior calling hours. A 9:30AM Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday October 11, 2025 at Resurrection Parish 303 East Main St. Batavia, NY 14020.
