Sylvia A. Hopfer

Sylvia A. Hopfer, 81, of Batavia passed away peacefully on Saturday November 26, 2016 at the Batavia Health Care Center. She was born on August 13, 1935 in Savannah, GA to the late Virgil Raymond Burdsal and Mamie Ruth (Holder) Mallard. She is predeceased by her husband Ronald Hopfer; brothers Charles Lee Burdsal and Virgil Burdsal She was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Batavia. Sylvia will always be remembered for being a devoted and loving Mother and Grandmother. Sylvia is survived by her children; Cynthia (Edward) Carroll of Greece, Vicky (Dean) DeVie of Batavia and Russell (Sandra) Hopfer of Pavilion; sister Ruth Krauss of GA; 6 grandchildren Megan and Tommy Carroll, Adam Capizzano, Steffanie (Justin) Murray, Kaitlyn Hopfer and Kyle Hopfer; 2 great grandchildren Gage and Grant Murray along with several nieces and nephews.
