Salvatrice Marble

Salvatrice Marble, affectionately known to all as "Sally," was born on March 27, 1928 in Mt. Morris, NY. Sally passed away on January 18, 2026 at the age of 97. A woman of wittiness and a joyful spirit, Sally was a friend to everyone she met.

Sally was the beloved wife of the late Darwin Marble; and together, they enjoyed their home "up on the hill" in Nunda, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Carrie Macchirella of Mt. Morris, NY. She was also preceded in death by her two sons; William Marble and Steven Marble; and her grandsons Adam and Matthew Marble.She carried the memory of her brothers and sisters with her always, serving as the heart and the historian of her generation. 

Sally loved to look through old pictures of generations past and share the story behind them to a listening ear.Sally was an extraordinary cook and baker, and her kitchen was the centerpiece of her home. Whether it was a holiday feast or a simple Sunday meal, no one ever left her table hungry.Beyond her kitchen, Sally had a zest for life and loved watching Old Westerns and Price is Right. She enjoyed travelling, playing bingo and cards with friends and family. Her competitive spirit, combined with her quick wit and laughter, made every game a memorable one.

She is survived by her son; James (Sylvia) Marble; daughter Darla (James) Luttrell; Julie Marble, wife of the late William Marble; Dennille Marble, wife of the late Matthew Marble; Grandchildren Heather, Jessi, James, Casey, Jill, Allison, Amber, Janelle, Ashley, and Zachary, along with a large extended family of great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior calling hours or Services. Sally will be laid to rest in Dalton, NY with her beloved husband Darwin.
