Richard J. Dunn

Richard J. Dunn, 85, of Batavia passed away on November 29, 2025 at the NYS Veterans Home. He was born in Batavia on December 19, 1939 to the late Francis and Ethel (Lester) Dunn. In addition to his parents, Richard is predeceased by his wife; Leuza (Nogueira) Dunn; brothers Billy and Donald Dunn; sisters Nancy Miceli, Eleanore Hart, Ruth Schultz and Mary Wasnik.

He is survived by his daughter; Lauri (Gary) Brennan of LeRoy; sister Arlene Kopper of Batavia; brother in law John Miceli of FL., sister in law Laurentina Rosa; brother in law Edvaldo (Ruth) Nogueira; 3 grandchildren Jesse, Chelsea and Joey; great grandchildren Hunter, Augie, Austin, Collins and Miller, along with many nieces and nephews. 

Richard was a United States Army veteran who served in France building railroads. He was an avid Bills fan and he loved going to Batavia Downs to watch horse racing. Richard loved to travel and spend time with family.

There will be no prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be held privately. Mr. Dunn will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
