History: Mr. Salvador passed away at his home in Batavia under the care of his family after a courageous year long battle with cancer. He was the son of the the late Joseph V. and Mary (Cifelli) Salvador.Pat was retired from Tops Market after 35 years of service where he was the produce manager. He also previously worked at the former Wandryk’s Market in Batavia. He was a 1958 graduate of Notre Dame High School, a long time altar boy and member of the former St. Anthony’s Church. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, a member of the NYS Fox Hunter’s Association and Western New York Fox Hunter’s Association. He was known as the “Produce Man of Batavia” and as the “Appleman”. Survived By: He is survived by his wife Roberta Almeter Salvador of Batavia; son Patrick D. (Jacqueline) Salvador of Liverpool, daughter Susan M (Dennis) Tresco of East Syracuse and three grandchildren Olivia & Joseph Salvador and Natalie Tresco. Two Brothers Louis (the late Mildred) Salvador of Batavia, Joseph (Ruth Ann) Salvador of East Bethany, Sister Rose (John) Polizzi of Rochester. Two step children Mark (Aimee) Falker of S.C., Duane (Stephanie) Falker of AZ, 4 step grandchildren survive along with many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Friends are invited to call on Sunday October 6, 2013 from 3 to 7 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, New York 14020. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM on Monday October 7, 2013 Resurrection Parish, 303 East Main St., Batavia, New York. Burial: Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Batavia. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Genesee Cancer Assistance, 16 Bank Street, Batavia 14020 or HomeCare & Hospice, 550 East Main St., Batavia 14020.
