Margaret C. Palmer

Margaret C. Palmer, 82 of Batavia, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 2, 2021 with her family by her side. Margaret was born June 28th, 1939 to Theobald and Celestine Cruess in Olean, New York. Margaret enjoyed traveling with her husband, Anthony. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events. Margaret’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Her second favorite was playing the slots! Faith was very important to Margaret, shown by her dedication as a Eucharistic minister, her time at crossroads house, and her decades of commitment to Notre Dame high school. Margaret not only sent her 9 children to Notre Dame but she was also the best bingo caller Notre Dame has ever seen. Margaret is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Anthony Palmer and her 9 children; Theresa (John) Sisson, Angela (Ken) Darch, Joe (Dawn) Palmer, Ann (Ken) Rudman, Mary (Michael) Francis, Eileen Wilcox, Dan (Karla) Palmer, Katie Palmer and Ryan (Jillian) Palmer, brother Kevin (Cathy) Cruess, 22 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Resurrection Parish, 18 Ellicott Street, Batavia, NY 14020.
