Margaret "Peggy" Branton

Margaret “Peggy” Branton, 83, of Batavia passed away on October 3, 2025 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born on January 22, 1942, daughter of the late Charles and Julia (Lockwood) Keech. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 53 years; Bruce R. Branton; daughter Tammy L. Branton who passed in 1998; brothers Chuck and Alan Keech; sister Margie Schum.

Peggy had a daycare in her home for 25 years and took care of many wonderful children. She worked for and retired from Citgo in Batavia and Grandview Cemetery where she worked for 25 years.

She is survived by her sister Jean (Mike) West; brother in law Gary (Nancy) Hamilton; sister in law Jean (Steve) Zajaczkowski; many nieces and nephews, along with very dear friends, the Matlas - Grant, Dolan, and MaryJo; and the Days - Kelly, Trevor, Jeff, and Sharon.

There will be no prior calling hours and services will be private. Peggy will be laid to rest in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Corfu.
