Lynette M. McFollins

Lynette M. McFollins, 78, of Batavia passed away on Saturday August 8, 2026. She was born in Buffalo on November 6, 1947 to the late James and Virginia (Harper) McFollins. In addition to her parents, Lynette is predeceased by her brothers; Allen “Vinny” McFollins and James "Hummer" McFollins.

Lynette completed her high school education at Pembroke High School in 1965. From there she went to Catherine McAuley School of Practical Nursing in Batavia and worked at Highland Hospital in Rochester for 3 years. She then furthered her nursing education at Trocaire College to become a Registered Nurse, and then went on to work at Roswell Park Cancer Institute for 25 years. Upon her retirement, Lynette did volunteer work at Macalpine Presbyterian Church. She had a love for reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her nephews; Jason McFollins, Aaron (Ashley) McFollins; stepmother Martha McFollins, along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday August 20, 2026 from 4:00-7:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. An 11:00AM Funeral Service will be held on Friday the 21st at the First Presbyterian Church 300 E. Main St. in Batavia. Lynette will be laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery in Pembroke.
