Laura O’Hearn, age 69, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026. Born on June 17, 1956, she was the beloved daughter of Delores and Harold Taggart. Laura was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Twardowski; her grandson, Zachary Twardowski; and her brother, Harold Taggart.
She is lovingly survived by her siblings, Randy Taggart, Lisa Elmore, and Tina Taggart. Laura’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She is survived by her children: Jason (Paula) Twardowski of Albion; Kimberly (John) Southcott of Medina; Mathew Twardowski of Batavia; and Bradley Twardowski of Albion.
Laura was a devoted and loving grandmother to Ticarria-Lynn Casselman, Belle Bedard, and Jessica Twardowski, whom she lovingly helped raise. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jacob (Brook) Twardowski, Sally (Dakota) Reamer, William Mattle, Isaiah (Alyssa) Twardowski, and Jayden Twardowski. In addition, she is survived by many great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
For over 50 years, Laura dedicated her life to nursing, caring for countless individuals with compassion and strength. She spent the last 30 years providing devoted care to her favorite gentleman, James Rozwood, a role she considered both an honor and a privilege. Laura found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, summer days at Hamlin Beach enjoying picnics with her family, listening to her favorite music by Celtic Thunder, and cheering on her favorite events during the Winter Olympics. As a child, she had a love for figure skating, a passion that stayed with her throughout her life. She also enjoyed sharing her love of cooking and treasured recipes with family and friends, especially her famous cherry brownies, which became a favorite for many.
Laura will be remembered for her deep love, generous spirit, caring heart, and her unwavering commitment to working hard every day to ensure her family always had what they needed. Laura’s legacy of love, dedication, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
There will be no prior calling hours. Laura will be laid to rest at Old St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Brown Rd. in Albion on February 18th at 11:00AM.
