Kenneth Fridmann, 69, of Attica, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 5, 2026, at Gateway House following a short battle with cancer.
Kenneth was born on January 23, 1957, to the late Kenneth and Josephine (Cucuzzo) Fridmann. He was a graduate of Alexander Central School District in 1975. Following graduation, Kenneth joined the United States Army and served until being honorably discharged after the passing of his father.
After returning home, Ken worked at Monroe Muffler and Trojan before opening Ken’s Shooting Supply in 1986, where he worked proudly as a gunsmith and proprietor for many years.
Ken had a lifelong passion for firearms and shooting sports. He enjoyed sporting clays and weekly shooting trips with his friends and grandchildren. Over the years, he earned numerous awards and accomplishments in trap and sporting clays shooting. An avid outdoorsman, Ken also loved hunting and fishing, especially sharing those experiences with his daughters and grandchildren.
One of Ken’s favorite places was “The Farm,” where he treasured both quiet moments alone and time spent with family.
Ken dedicated much of his time to supporting youth education in hunting and conservation. He taught hunter education courses, supported the Attica Clay Dusters, and was an active member of Ducks Unlimited and several local gun clubs.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Lisa (Happ) Fridmann; his sister, MaryLouise Fridmann; his daughters, Liz Crans (Darren Azzarella) and Michelle (Jeff) Langschwager; and his six adored grandchildren: Paige, Eli, Lincoln, Quinn, Kennedy, and William.
Ken is also survived by his loving in-laws, Ed and Nancy Happ; his cousin, Melissa (Chris) Haacke; and countless family members and friends whose lives he touched deeply.
