Julia Barniak

Julia Barniak, 82, of Pavilion, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 23, 2021. She was born on February 16, 1939 in Batavia to the late Joseph and Mary (Zalenski) Barniak. Julia was a long time Secretary / Bookkeeper at Western New York Concrete in Batavia. She will be remembered as a very hard worker and was loved dearly by her family. She is survived by her siblings; Lillian (Leon) Halat of Oakfield and Joseph (Suzanne) Barniak of Pavilion, along with many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call on Sunday, February 28th, 2021 from 1:00-4:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mary Immaculate Parish in East Bethany and Julia will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum in Batavia. The funeral home will be operating at 50% of its capacity during visitation due to COViD 19 restrictions. Face coverings and social distancing are mandatory. Thank you for your cooperation.
