Joseph C. Wenzel Jr.

Joseph C. Wenzel Jr., 59 of Batavia, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Thursday March 23, 2017 at home. He was born on May 21, 1957, in Batavia to Joseph C. (the late Dorothy M. Lenhard) Wenzel Sr. of Batavia. Joe is preceded in death by siblings Mary Francis and Jonathan Wenzel. Joe was an avid outdoorsman and loved his pheasant farm. He enjoyed working on cars and being with his family. He is survived by his children Joseph C. Wenzel III of SC; Matthew (Kody); Stanley both of Batavia; Stephen of PA; Nicole of NYC; Timothy, Melissa Wenzel both of Batavia; siblings Joan Szatkowski, Sharon (Dean Cadieux) Lyke, Jimmy (Stephany) Wenzel, Jeffrey (JoAnn) Wenzel, Jennifer (Ross) Jarvela, JodiAnn (Jim) Battistella, Jolene Morales, Heidi Schollard, Karen (Larry) Corp; 4 grandchildren along with 24 nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. An 11:30 AM Celebration of Joe’s life will take place on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at Arbor House (Northgate Free Methodist South Campus) 350 Bank St. Batavia, New York 14020.
