Jeanette C. "Gg" Moore

Jeanette C. “GG” Moore, 80, of Batavia was surrounded by her loving family when she entered the gates of heaven as church bells rang outside on January 14, 2019. She was born on July 26, 1938 in Batavia to the late Erwin “Curly” and Muriel (Jenkins) Chapell. In addition to her parents, GG is predeceased by her loving husband of over 49 years; Richard “Dick” Moore Sr. who passed away in 2005; sisters Nancy Dersam and Linda Chapell. Jeanette was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Elba for over 67 years. She loved being with her husband and children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. GG enjoyed traveling and snow-birding in Florida with Dick, traveling around the country in their motorhome. She loved to paint and taking trips to the casino. She is survived by her children; Valerie Moore of Elba, Susan (John) Given of Elba, Richard Moore Jr. of Batavia, Cindy Baird of Batavia; siblings Norma (late Oscar) Kessler of Batavia, Roger (Carol) Kirkpatrick of Rochester, Carolyn (late Dayton) Schultz of Batavia, Judy Chapell of Batavia; sister-in-law Mary Bowles of Perry Center; brother-in-law Larry Moore of Rochester; Grandchildren Amanda (Chris) Holley, Alicia (Marco) Piccirillo, Ezekiel (Amanda) Given, Lindsey (Dale) Frasier, Jessica Baird, Amie (Joe Fite) Baird and Richard Baird; great-grandchildren Logan Holley, MacKenzie Holley, Jackson Frasier and Jada Fite. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday January 18, 2019 from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. A 1:00PM Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation at the Funeral Home. GG will be laid to rest in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Elba.
