James B. "Sosh" Soccio

James B “Sosh” Soccio, age 66, of Batavia, NY entered into eternal rest on Saturday October 18, 2025. He was born May 23, 1959 in Batavia, NY to Diana Roy and James V Soccio. He was predeceased in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Sosh worked at Community Action of Orleans & Genesee Inc. from 1987 until retirement in August 2024. He was an avid Jets Fan and a diehard Yankees fan who never missed a game. He loved fishing, bowling, camping, riding Harleys, and spending time with family and friends. Jim had an aura that made everyone want to gravitate toward him and be around him. He was a generous and loving husband, father and man who demonstrated nothing but unconditional love toward everyone.

Sosh had a huge heart, was always so upbeat and positive with a daily motto he lived by “today I will wake up and pull my happy handle” and he did every single day. He will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Soccio, son, Dyllon (Erika) Soccio, sister Mary Jo (Eddie) Tydingco, Nancy (Marty) Caranza, sister-in-law Cheryl Murray Ditzel, brother-in-law Ron (Cheryl) Murray, brother-in-law Bob Ditzel and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
