Iva Crassi

History: Iva Crassi, 92 of Batavia, passed away Tuesday July 2, 2013 at the Genesee County Nursing Home. She was born September 23, 1920 in Olean to the late Norman C. (Bernice A. Perry) Bowen. Mrs. Crassi worked at Genesee Memorial Hospital, GTE Sylvania and Cadet Cleaners all in Batavia. She is preceded in death by her husband Carmelo Crassi in 1997, brother Clarence Bowen, sisters Frances Ecklund and Margaret Bowen. Survived By: She is survived by her children Carlene (Russell Betters) Cadieux of Oakfield; Roger (Elizabeth) Crassi of Clarence; Charles (Maryanne) Crassi of Spencerport; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Visitation: There will be no prior calling hours. Services: Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial: Interment will be in Bath National Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Genesee County Animal Shelter 3841 West Main Street Batavia, NY 14020.
