Ilona “Sue” Yantz (née Heiniger), 84, of Batavia, New York, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026 at the Leroy Village Green Nursing Home. She was born on February 25, 1942 in Webster, New York. Sue lived a life rooted in family, faith, and the simple joys of country living.

Sue spent many years in Byron, where she and her late husband, Ronald F. Yantz built a warm and welcoming home surrounded by the rural lifestyle she cherished. A devoted homemaker, Sue worked as the secretary for Dr. Burak and eventually retired from Kodak, where she was known for her dedication and steady work ethic.

She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Gail Holtz (Gary); her brother, Gerrald Heineger; her children Karen Miconi (Michael), Ronald Yantz (Carol Meuller) and Robert Yantz (Lisa); her grandchildren Jennifer Falletta (Amy), Jesse Ford, Angelina Miconi, Melia Yantz, Chelsea McClurg and Mason McClurg; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.Sue will be remembered for her love of gardening, antiques, and the peaceful rhythm of country life. Her warmth, resilience, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

There will be no prior calling hours and Services will be held privately.
