Helen M. Schlist

Helen M. Schlist, 90 of Batavia, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Premier Genesee Center. She was born June 21, 1928 in Fort Ann, NY to the late Julius (Ruth Rathbun) Hunt. She is preceded in death by her first husband Louis DeLillo, second husband Edward Schlist and a sister Marion Lee. Mrs. Schilst was a teacher at South Lancaster Academy in Massachusetts. She enjoyed teaching bible class, sewing and reading. She is survived by her children Brian (Amy) of Batavia; Alan (Helaine) DeLillo of MA; Linette (Jess) Stewart of WI; Denise (Karl) Wailgum of MA; sister Anna Sargent of Fort Ann, NY; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. A Graveside Service will take place at a later date. She will be laid to rest in Morganville Cemetery, Stafford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 101 Richmond Ave., Batavia, NY 14020.
