Gail A. Hink, 77, of Batavia passed away on December 1, 2025 at the United Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Batavia on March 2, 1948 to the late Raymond and Edith (Genthner) Chaya. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband; James E. Hink Jr.; her son Brian Volino.

She is survived by her son; Joseph (Cathy) Volino of Batavia, Brenda (Aaron) Terry of Missouri; Step children Jennifer (Sean) McNally of VA., Charles (Stephanie) Hink of Irondequoit, Chad (Monica) Vandenberg of Rochester; brother Raymond (Patty) Chaya of Batavia; grandchildren Krystle Volino and Jessica (Devon) Carter; great-grandchildren Chaytin, Willow and Myles.

Gail was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend to everyone she met and everyone loved her back. She worked for many years at the New York State School for the Blind. Her mind was sharp as a tack right until the end. She loved cooking, baking and dining out with family. She loved family get togethers anywhere she was invited. Gail will be missed by all of her family and friends who loved and knew her.

There will be no prior calling hours and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Gail will be laid to rest in Western New York Cemetery in Corfu.
