Elenor Johnson

Elenor Johnson, 88, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born in Wheeling, WV to the late William D. and Mattie (Daniels) Gibson.

Elenor retired from P.W. Minor& Sons after working there for many years. She was a member of the Quota International of Batavia. She enjoyed bowling and was in many different leagues in Genesee County since the 1970’s.

She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years; Randall Johnson. She is survived by her children; David (Joyce) Clawson of Lewes, DE., Rose (Mark) Weidner of Oakfield, Mary (Bill) Riley of Lyndonville and Mark (Beckie) Johnson of Byron; sisters Mattlene Smart and Jerelen Fleming both of South Carolina and Arlene Gibson of Florida. She was predeceased by her sister Lorene Shamblin.

Elenor was the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by three grandchildren.

Family and friends may call on Saturday March 8, 2025 from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. A 12:00PM Funeral Service will immediately follow at the Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery in Oakfield.
