Edward E. Kastelic Jr.

Edward E. Kastelic Jr., 76, of Oakfield passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026 at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home surrounded by family. Ed was predeceased by his mother, Betty L. Kastelic; his son-in-law, Ralph Esten Jr.; and his mother and father-in-law, Eileen and Edward King.

He is survived by his father, Edward "Ed" Kastelic Sr.; his beloved wife of 56 years, Kathy Kastelic; his children; Candy Manes (Chris), and Michelle Esten (Sam Hoover) and Eddie "T.C." Kastelic (Carie) ; his grandchildren, Matthew Kastelic (Amanda), Chris Manes Jr. (Zaneta), Chelsy Neushwander (Austin), Cody Kastelic (Nicole), and Kaleigh Young (John); and his cherished great-grandchildren, Lukas, Peyton, Aliyah, Camila, Charlie, Cayson, Tristan, Paisley, Maverick, and Isabella; his sister in laws Robin Baker (Tom), Sharon and Tammy King; brother in laws Edward King (Marlene) and Ronald King (Ava).

Born in western Pennsylvania, Ed honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he dedicated 34 years to United States Gypsum (USG), retiring as Chief Electrician. Never one to slow down, Ed continued working part-time at The Home Depot for another 15 years, where he enjoyed helping customers and building lasting friendships.Ed found great joy in giving back to his community through coaching. He coached hockey for the Batavia Ramparts, as well as T-Ball and Little League Baseball, leaving a lasting impact on the many young athletes he mentored over the years.

Family was the heart of Ed's life. He shared an especially close bond with his niece, Megan, and his nephews, Ritchie, Jared, and Jason, while also holding a special place in his heart for all of his nieces and nephews. He took great joy in watching them grow, celebrating their accomplishments, and creating lasting memories with them. He treasured the friendships he built throughout his career, especially the lasting friendship he shared with his longtime coworker, Mike. Ed will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his loyal friendship, his strong work ethic, his generous heart, and the quiet strength and kindness that touched everyone who knew him.

Ed's legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless lives he touched. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered. GO SABRES, GO BUCS, GO BILLS.

There will be no prior calling hours and Services will be held privately for the family. Ed will be laid to rest in Western New York National Cemetery in Corfu.
