Duane A. "D.A." Marble

Duane A. Marble, known to family as "D.A.", of Batavia, passed away Saturday December 8, 2018 at the age of 53. He was born on January 16, 1965 in Trenton, NJ to Duane I. Marble of Nunda and Ruthanne (Deemer) Marble of Batavia. After graduating from Pembroke Central School, Duane did a brief stint in the Marine Corps and was discharged for medical reasons. After he returned home he moved to a rustic cabin in the Southern Tier with a friend. Eventually he returned to the Batavia area and worked as a cook for the remainder of his life. Being a private person he enjoyed reading, computers, target shooting and spending time with lifelong friends in the Southern Tier cabin where he had previously lived. In addition to his parents, Duane is survived by his brother; Greg Marble of Darien and his niece Scout Marble of Batavia. There will be no prior calling hours. Services will be held at a later date.
