Donald Adelmore Pehrson lived a full and active life until his death on February 18, 2026. He was 87 years old. Don was born in Mankato Minnesota on May 30, 1938, to Adelmore and Mildred Pehrson. He was preceded in death by his son’s Timothy and Michael Pehrson.
He is survived by his wife Audrey (Olson) Pehrson and together they celebrated 68 years of marriage.
Don is survived by 2 younger sisters Donna Mae Harder and Doris Ann (Stoffregen) Kaduce and his younger brother Dennis Pehrson and their families. He is also survived by daughter Deborah (Anders Hagelin) Pehrson. Grandson Joshua (Heather) Pehrson son of Timothy Pehrson. Son Daniel (Laura) Pehrson. Grandchildren David, Michael and Lauren. Great-grandchildren Jayd, Kaylee, Hudson, Charlotte and Elisa. Daughter-in-law Deirdre Pehrson, wife of Michael Pehrson. Grandchildren Dylan and Lidia Pehrson. Great grandchild Ozzlynn. Daughter Cynthia (John) Canale. Grand children Rebecca (Ryan) Bell and Nathan. Daughter Barbara (Charles) Pangrazio. Grandchildren Chelsie (Daniel) Laudico, Marissa (Derek) Grillone, Spencer and Jacob Pangrazio. Great-grandchildren Ky’Reese, Karter, Kerigan, Knox and Grayson. Daughter Christine (Erik) Saluste. Grandchildren Amber and Corrine. Great-grandchildren Nolan and Rosalyn.
Don was a farmer at heart but worked as an entrepreneur. He started out on a 360 acre dairy farm in Minnesota and then moved to Penn Yan, NY. He worked with the National Farmer’s Organization. He then moved his family to Elba, NY where he started his own construction business and then branched out into Eco Crete. Eco Crete was his dream that he wanted to leave to the family as his legacy.
He loved being with family and spending time on the lakes water skiing and fishing. As his kids grew and left home he was always involved in their home improvement projects all through their lives. He was immensely proud of all his grandchildren and would be at their sporting and school events.
He was a man of persistence and great faith in God. He will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be held on Monday February 23, 2026 from 4:00-7:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home 329-333West Main St. in Batavia. A 10:00AM Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday the 24th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church 31 Washington Ave. Batavia, NY 14020. Donald will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery Batavia, NY following the funeral.
