Donald D. Homer

Donald D. Homer, 79, of Batavia passed away on November 14, 2025 from cancer at his home. He was born on August 20, 1946 to the late Darwin and Norma Homer. In addition to his parents, he’s predeceased by his son; Kevin Charles Homer who passed away in 2006.

A 1964 graduate of Elba Central School, he entered into the United States Navy. When he got out in 1967 he married the love of his life Sandy Goetz on November 25, 1967. He was a 35 year member of the Alexander Fire Department. He was a semi-truck driver for 45 plus years. He will be truly missed by all.

In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by his children; Cindy (Jason) Piscitelli of Akron, David (Jess Rada) Homer of Bethany, Carl (Lynne) Homer of Batavia, Christina (Paul Kirch) Homer of Pavilion; daughter in law Lynn Homer of Batavia; sister Dorothy Brantley of Batavia; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
