Donald E. Currier Sr

Donald E. Currier Sr, 88 of Elba, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Premier Genesee. He was born December 28, 1937 in Nunda, to the late Robert and Donna (Young) Currier. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty (Base) Currier and brother William.

Don retired from Rochester Teplephone/Frontier after 40 years of service. Don enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling in his little houseboat “The Little Hobo”. He and mom spent their winters in Florida. He also loved playing cards with family members.

He is survived by his children Daniel Currier of North Syracuse, Lynette (Peter) Brade of NC., Donald E. (Lori) Currier Jr. of Oakfield, Susan (Mark) Norton of Bethany; his grandchildren Eric (Judith) Currier, Emily Currier, Bruce (Gabby) Brade, Ben (Alissa) Brade, Samuel (Rene) Brade, Jason (Melissa) Currier, Jeff (Sarah) Currier, Amanda (Donald) Fonda, Andrew (Ashley) Norton, Kayla (Eric) Zagmester, Robert Stabler, Alyssa Lathrop, along with her 29 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale Currier; sister, Barb Spencer and sister-in-law Marlene Arnold; along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 4:00-7:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, New York 14020. A 6:30PM Memorial Service will immediately follow visitation at the Funeral Home.
