Daniel J. Carr, 86, of East Pembroke, NY passed away on Friday, February 20,2026 with his loving family by his side. Born in Exeter, NH November 9, 1939 to Homer and May (Ducker) Carr.

He graduated from Batavia High School in 1957 and entered the US Army in June 1957. Daniel was stationed in Okinawa, Japan at Torii Station and was in the Army Security Agency until he was honorably discharged in June 1960. Fell in love with and married Margaret Noble in December 1961. He worked as a machinist at Batavia Machine and Tool then Strippit Industries in Akron, NY until his retirement in 2001.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years; Margaret Carr; three daughters and a son in law, Susan Carr, Sharon Carr, Sandra (Mike) Quaranto; Five grandchildren Brianna Quaranto, Jessica (Salvatore) Sciascia, Samantha Quaranto (fiancé Joe Tingue), Leonard Radley, Kaden Radley. Also survived by one brother; Roger (Carol) Carr and sister in law Shirley Carr; Brothers in law Bill (Deb) Noble, Phil (Barb) Noble, Rick (Brenda) Noble, John (Lillian) Lathrop and sister in law Bonnie Noble, along with four cousins and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers; Judson Carr, Herbert Carr and brother in law James Noble.

He loved our country and was proud to fly the US flag. Daniel enjoyed attending the annual ASA reunions and catching up with his Army buddies. Followed NASCAR racing and for years attended some of the local racetracks in support of friends who raced. Was a Buffalo Bills fan and also followed the UConn women’s and Syracuse basketball teams. Thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially in the summer at “Camp Susie” on Oneida Lake. He was very proud of his grandchildren and was so excited to learn he was going to be a great grandfather for the first time.

There will be no prior calling hours and Services will be held at a later date to be announced. Mr. Carr will be laid to rest in the Western New York National Cemetery in Corfu.
