Concetta "Connie" Capuano

Concetta “Connie” Capuano, 87, of Batavia passed away peacefully on Thursday April 9, 2015 at Crossroads House.She was born May 19, 1927 in LeRoy to the late Ignazio (Rosalia O’Geen) Rubino. She is preceded in death by her husband Salvatore “Savie” Capuano, daughter Lucille Capuano Vanson, brothers Frank and Augustine “Augie” Rubio and Sister Rose Marie Gervase. She was a member of Ascension Parish, the Altar and Rosary Society of the Church. Connie enjoyed bingo, cards, going to the casino, cooking and baking. She is survived by her loving son Frank (Ann) Capuano of Batavia; Sister Sarah (Ronald) Dusing of Rochester; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Sunday April 12, 2015 from 3 to 7 PM at the Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc., 329-333 West Main St., Batavia, NY. A 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 13, 2015 in Ascension Parish, corner of Sumner and Swan Streets, Batavia. She will be entombed in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
