Celia J. Puccio

Celia J. Puccio, 103, of Batavia passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 2, 2026 at the Gateway Home in Attica. She was born on April 21, 1922 in Batavia to the late Rocco and Josephine (Devita) Gringer.

In addition to her parents, Celia is predeceased by her husband; Charles S. Puccio; son Charles Puccio; brothers Tony, Joe, John and Rocky Gringer; sisters Margaret Condello, Sarah Penepent, Mary Dispenza and Angie Voltura .

Celia loved to cook and entertain her family and friends. She enjoyed taking walks with friends. Celia loved traveling with her husband. She was a long time member of St. Mary’s Church, but in more recent years was attending Northgate Free Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children; Richard C. Puccio of Batavia, Gary (Ines) Puccio of CO., Kathy (John) Curtiss of Wyoming; sister Virginia Palermo; 5 grandchildren Richard (Debra) Puccio, Patrick (Candice) Puccio, Kimberly (Ryan) Collins, Michael (Erin) Puccio and Samantha (Beau) Richter; 8 great-grandchildren Allison (Alex), Joseph, Ashlyn, Aubrey, Marin, Jackson and the Richter twins.

Friends are invited to call on Sunday March 15, 2026 from 1:00-3:00PM at Northgate Free Methodist Church 8160 Bank St. Rd. Batavia, NY 14020, where a 3:00PM Funeral Service will immediately follow visitation. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
