Caroline J. Vigneri

Caroline J. Vigneri, age 88, of Elba, died peacefully Friday, November 14, 2025 at Sisters of Charity Hospital, Buffalo. She was born March 20, 1937 to the late Patsy and Lucy (Burgio) Vigneri. Also preceded in death by her siblings, Charles (late Pauline) Augello, Pauline (late Joseph) Argento, Alfonso (late Josephine) Vigneri, Carmella (late Sam) Palermo, Frank (late Irene) Vigneri, Rose (late Carl) Mattioli, Philip Vigneri, Patsy (Marie) Vigneri Jr., and infant sister, Josephine.

Mrs. Vigneri was a graduate of Elba Central School and went on to work for Genesee County Department of Social Services. She was a devout catholic and a lifetime member of Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church in Elba, very active in the ladies Sodality and member of Daughters of the American Revolution.

Surviving are her loving sisters Rosalie (late Arthur) Pastore, Josephine (late Anthony) Deni, Mary Jane (Nick) Pilla, sister-in-law, Alice Vigneri, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends are invited to a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Resurrection Parish, 303 East Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020. She will be laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia.
