Carol M. Wolfley

Carol M. Wolfley, 84 of Alexander, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Friday, February 27, 2026. She was born August 29, 1941 in Batavia, to the late Arthur and Viola (Horner) O’Brien. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Wolfley; siblings, Eileen (Robert) Funke and James (Lori) O’Brien.

Mrs. Wolfley was a Notre Dame High School graduate, she went on to work for Fritz Insurance Agency and then Hodgins Printing where she retired. She was an avid sports fan and was often found cheering on her children and grandchildren. Carol was known by many from walking, she would walk two or three times a day. She loved to golf, shop, trips to Florida with Dennis and laying out in the sun on her deck.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Illa and Elaine for the compassionate and loving care they gave to their mother over the last four and a half years.

She is survived by her beloved children, Brett (Donna) Wolfley of Mayville, NY, Tina Rauscher of Churchville, Jill (Larry) Diehl of Attica, Jodi Wolfley of Alexander, sisters, Patricia (the late Thomas) Scheiber of Batavia, Rita (Thomas) Reding of South Byron, 10 grandchildren, Christopher (Ali), Bryan (Catherine), Adam (Nicole) Erika, Cole, Spencer, Nathan, Josh, Tessa, Austin (Georgie), 2 great-grandchildren, Gwendyln and Grady, along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to an 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Resurrection Parish, 303 East Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Alexander.
