Carol A. Laney

Carol A. Laney, 86, of Batavia passed away on Wednesday May 25, 2022 at her home. Carol was born on September 28, 1935 in Churchville, New York, a daughter of the late Fred and Mary (McAvoy) Tyler. In addition to her parents, Carol is predeceased by her grandson; Devon Van Linder; brothers William, Robert and John Tyler; sister Anne Tyler. Carol was a member of Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s Church) site since 1965. She enjoyed watching the Yankees, Bills and Sabres games. She did puzzles of all kinds and read many books. Carol was an avid gardener who had beautiful roses. She is survived by his children; Linda (Larry) Van Linder of Batavia, Clifford Laney of Dansville and Carolyn “Carrie” Laney of Batavia; granddaughter Katarina Van Linder; sister Barbara Hensel of Batavia; brother James (Patricia) Tyler of FL; along with many nieces, nephews and her best friend; Alice Vigneri. Friends are invited to call from 10:00 – 11:00AM on Wednesday June 1, 2022 at Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s) 18 Ellicott St. Batavia, NY 14020. An 11:00AM Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at the Church. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Batavia. Flowers are gratefully declined.
