Betty A Spiotta

Betty A. Spiotta, 96 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Batavia, October 26, 1929 to the late Van Fisby and Alice (Gund) Grice. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Nicholas “Blue Boy” Spiotta, children, Michael Spiotta and Francesca “Frannie Fran” Loy; sister, Dolores Ognibene.

Mrs. Spiotta worked for many years at Palace of Sweets and St. Nicholas Social Club. She enjoyed spending time gardening. Betty was a woman of faith and loved her family.

She is survived by her children, Nicholas Spiotta and Julie (Mark) Harasimowicz both of Batavia, son-in-law John Loy, 5 grandchildren, Adam (Erica), Patrick, Michael (Emilee), Jason and Kelly, 11 grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to a 9:30am Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, September 4, 2026 at Resurrection Parish, 303 East Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
