Anthony F. Palmer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away on April 2, 2026, surrounded by family. Born on May 30,1935 in New York City, to the late George and Angelina (Ambroselli) Palmer. In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret (Cruess) Palmer, whom he would have been married to for 67 years this past week. He was also predeceased by his brother, Frank (Mary) Palmer.
Tony lived a life defined by love, dedication and family. He was a man of strong faith and values who took great pride in the life he built and the people he cherished.
He will be remembered for his deep devotion to family, a Veteran of the Army, having served during the Korean War, his volunteerism in his community, his commitment to his career of 36 years at Graham Manufacturing, his devotion to his Catholic Faith and his unwavering love and devotion to his family.
He is survived by his nine children; Theresa (John) Sisson, Angela (Ken) Darch, Joe (Dawn) Palmer, Ann (Ken) Rudman, Mary (Michael) Francis, Eileen Wilcox, Dan (Karla) Palmer, Katie Palmer, Ryan (Jillian) Palmer, 22 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren, who will carry forward his legacy.His family was his greatest accomplishment, and he found immense joy in watching it grow across generations.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday April 18th at 9:30AM at Resurrection Parish 303 East Main St. (St. Joseph’s site) Batavia, NY 14020. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life. He will be laid to rest in Grand View Cemetery following the Mass.
