Anne K. Ireland

Anne K. Ireland, 84, of Batavia passed away on Saturday February 21, 2026 at Elderwood at Williamsville Nursing Home. She was born in Bennington, NY on July 28, 1941 to the late Michael and Stella (Plewa) Kaczmarek. In addition to her parents, Anne is predeceased by her husband; Richard Ireland; son Dennis Ireland; brother Michael Kaczmarek.

Anne worked alongside her husband’s Electrical Contracting company as a Bookkeeper for many years. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Good Council Church in Darien. Her faith was constant, it guided and grounded her. She loved living and working in the country, especially spending time with her grandchildren. Many referred to her as a "Saint" for raising 5 boys. Strong faith will carry her into eternal peace and rest.

She is survived by her children; Kenneth (Lisa) Ireland of Brockport, Thomas (Deborah) Ireland of Tonawanda, Douglas (Denise) Ireland of Amherst and Gregory (Ginelle) Ireland of Batavia; daughter in law Julie Ireland of CT.; sister Barbara Snyder of Alexander; 16 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday February 25th from 4:00-7:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. A 9:30AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday the 26th at Ascension Parish 19 Sumner St. in Batavia. Anne will be laid to rest in Our Lady of Good Counsel Cemetery in Darien.
