Anna Nicosia

Anna Nicosia, 89, of LeRoy passed away peacefully on Thursday March 10, 2016 at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. She was born August 27, 1926 in Batavia, New York to the late Daniel (Jennie Battaglia) Menne. She is preceded in death by her husband Samuel J. Nicosia along with sisters Nelda Menne and Rose Ferrando. Anna worked for Doehler Jarvis Manufacturing. She was a past member of St. Michael’s Society. Anna enjoyed bingo, dancing, baking, playing cards and crocheting. She is survived by her step sons Benjamin and Joseph Nicosia; sister Audrey Dodd of Florida along with many nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. A 9:30AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday March 19, 2016 at Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s Church) 18 Ellicott St. Batavia, New York 14020. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Resurrection Parish 18 Ellicott Street Batavia, New York 14020 or to the donor’s choice.
