Alan E. Shultz, 89, of Batavia (formally of Byron, NY), passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the NYS Veterans Home at Batavia. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary (Hale) Shultz; sons, Mike and Billy Shultz; siblings, Bea Scheiber, Chet Shultz, Helen Keene, Jim Shultz, and Rheta Stanton.
Surviving are his children, John (Deb) Shultz, Jeff (Diane) Shultz, Terry (Felicia) Shultz, Jodi (Doug) Russo; and 10 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Alan was a devoted father and cherished grand(pa) whose greatest joy in life was his family. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply and treasured every moment spent together — whether sharing stories over a cup of coffee or simply enjoying each other's company. He also carried a lifelong love for his beloved wife, who passed before him, holding her memory close in his heart. Alan found happiness in life's simple, everyday moments, creating lasting memories through sarcasm, laughter, and togetherness.
His presence brought comfort and strength to those around him, and his legacy lives on in the love and values he instilled in his family. Alan will truly be missed.
