Agnes B. Taylor, a longtime resident of Batavia, died February 12, 2026 at Eastside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, NY. She was born on January 20, 1925 in Rock Glen, NY to the late Alexander Seward Buchanan and Jeannette (Fettes) Buchanan. Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by her husband William W. Taylor and her daughter Patricia Oester; sisters Jennie Haines, Mary Alden, Ruth Hall, Marjorie Buchanan, and brothers Dave Buchanan and Alex Buchanan.

Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Warsaw High School and Rochester Business Institute. She was an avid member of the American Contract Bridge League, attaining the rank of Silver Life Master. Also, she was a certified bridge director. Prior to her retirement, she was secretary to the Director of the V.A. Medical Center in Batavia.

She is survived by her children; Mary Lou Dahlen of Marlborough, Massachusetts and John W. Taylor and wife Terry Taylor of Blandon, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; William, Daniel, Carolyn, Carl, Patrick and Kathleen, along with six great-grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest in Grand View Cemetery, Batavia.
