Adam Mattle

Adam Mattle, 49, of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2025, at United Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on July 26, 1976, in Batavia, Adam was the beloved son of John and the late Joan (Puls) Mattle. 

He graduated from Byron-Bergen High School and went on to earn his master’s degree from the University of Buffalo.Adam was known for his sharp wit, big heart, and endless inappropriate jokes.A lifelong comic book enthusiast—especially fond of all things Marvel—he took joy in collecting and sharing his passion with others. He loved good company, good conversation, and a good drink at Kelly’s Holland Inn whenever he could.

Above all, Adam cherished his family. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren, creating memories that will live on in their hearts. He especially loved taking his oldest grandson to the movies—something he looked forward to as much as his grandson did.

Adam’s legacy lives on through his children: Sally (Dakota) Reamer of Medina, William Mattle of Medina, and Jonathan Sharnick of Attica; his father, John Mattle of Bergen; and his grandchildren, Hudson, Colby, and Paisley Reamer. He is also survived by his siblings, Paul Mattle (Cherokee Roe) of Bergen and Sarah (Michael) West of Brockport; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home 329-333 W. Main Street, Batavia. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Genesee County Park, Pavilion B, beginning at 1:00 PM. Adam will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love for those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his laughter and spirit will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
