Obituary for Lara K. Guyette

Lara K. Guyette, age 66 of Leicester, NY passed away on Monday June 22, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Canton, NY on October 28, 1953 a son to the late Gerald P and Evelyn M. (Guyett) Guyette.
Lara served with the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Lara lived in Williston, South Carolina for over 25 years, where he worked for Quimbee Homes for many years.
He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in South Carolina.
He enjoyed woodworking, cooking and made many homemade wood signs for family and friends throughout the years.
He is survived by 2 brothers: Ike (Shirley Briggs) Guyette of Canton, Gilbert Guyette of Russell, 2 grandchildren whom he raised with his late companion: Hali (Fernando) Suaraz and Davie Phillips both of Augusta, Ga., great grandson: Jasper Suaraz, 7 nieces: Donna (Shawn) Gollinger of Canton, Bonnie (Dick) Miller of Russell, Janis Leach of Leicester, Robin Guyette of Russell, Michelle (Gary) Loop of DeGrasse, Sheryl (Karen) Holley of Rochester, Shelley (Dave) Wood of Wyoming, 1 nephew: Mitchell Guyett of Ca., 6 great nephews: Scott (Vanessa) Fuller of Sodus, Jason (Rebecca) Fuller of Cuylerville, Robert Holley of Wyoming, Brett (Jacqueline) Holley of Rochester, Shawn (Mellissa) Guyette of Cortland, Michael Duarte of Co 2 great great nieces: Paige and Mackenzie Routly and 2 great great nephews: Austin and Jaxon Fuller.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his companion: Judy Phillips, sisters: Mary Gartland, Linda Murray and Gail Jones and a brother: Ronald Guyette.
A graveside service will be held at a later date to be announced.
Lara will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Canton, NY.
