Linda Lee Chapell

History:
Linda was born 61 years ago in Batavia to the late Erwin W. and E. Muriel Jenkins Chapell. She was an employee of Genesee ARC Workshop in Batavia and a very active member of City Church. She enjoyed doing ceramics. Linda was lovingly cared for by the Staff of ARC and her group home. She was the recipient of the 2010 Western Region Self Advocate of the Year at the Self Advocacy Conference. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Dersam, a brother Erwin Chapell Jr. and two brothers in law Oscar Kessler and Richard Moore Sr.
Survived By:
She is survived by one brother Roger (Carol) Kirkpatrick of Chili, NY, 4 sisters Jeanette Moore of Batavia, Carolyn (Dayton) Schultz of Oakfield, Judy Chapell and Norma Kessler both of Batavia. Many beloved nieces and nephews also survive along with her very dear friends Patti, Michelle, Donna and Jeanette.
Visitation:
Will be held on Thursday July 22, 2010 from 4 to 8 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc., 329-333 West Main Street, Batavia New York 14020
Services:
Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday at 10:00 AM
Burial:
Burial will take place in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Elba, NY.
Memorials:
The family suggests memorials be made to the ARC Building Fund on Woodrow Road (People Realizing Potential Campaign), c/o ARC, 64 Walnut Street, Batavia, NY 14020.
